I would like the club to consider starting a 2 meter net that deals with technical and operational topics. An example of technical topics can range from basic electricity to understanding digital modulation and digital QSO's. Operational topics could include how to operate a certain rig or general operations. Introduction to APRS, WIRES-X and Raspberry hot spots. Thanks, Bob WB0SXC
Are going to get set up for wires X in the near future
Kay, CDARC currently is not planning a wires X node, but BSC club, N0BSC is. BSC has a HRI-200 and needs to get permission from IT and then set it up.
mike i need help with setting up my hotspot
I've been wanting to get into ham radio for years, but navigating all the info out there can be a bit confusing, what do I need to get started other than getting certified?
Andrew, I would start by ordering a technician manual from ARRL and study the manual. As you are studying, take practice test online. There are several sites for practice exams.
Exam Practice - ARRLhttp://www.arrl.org › exam-practice
Technician Practice Exam - HamExam.orghttps://hamexam.org › exam › 15-Technician
Ham Radio Technician Class Practice Test (updated 2021)https://www.mometrix.com › academy › ham-radio-tec...
when you pass the test consistently, contact us and we can schedule a test session for you.
