Operating Hours: 24 hrs/day for duration of the event
Simple Rules: Contact one club in each of the 16 states on the historic Lewis and Clark Trail. Operating modes include SSB Phone, FM Phone (for 2 meters only), CW, and FT8. Any combination of modes towards working all 16 states is allowed. A schedule for planned operations for each state will be posted on this web site.
Certificate: Certificates can be requested for two classes of participation:
On the Air Exchange: The on-air exchange will include: Call sign and name of the operator. Additional information such as a signal report or a Parks on the Air park designation may also be logged, but is not required.
Logs:Only activating stations submit a log (similar to a POTA activation) to the club LCTOTA Signup administator- Mike/KE0ESG - [email protected]
Send all paper logs and ADIF Log files to Mike/KE0ESG for processing. Mike/KE0ESG will submit logs to LCTOTA.org site and LOTW.ARRL.ORG.
Logs are not required from hunting stations. However, it is courteous to submit your personal log to Logbook of the World or other logging entity. Please submit your request for a certificate by August 31st of the activation year.

•Bands: 2m (FM only), 6m, 10m, 15m, 20m, 40m & 80m
•Targeting 20 hours to 40 hours of activation time per club.
•Only activating stations submit a log (similar to a POTA activation) to the club LCTOTA Signup administator- Mike/KE0ESG - [email protected]
Send all paper logs and ADIF Log files to Mike/KE0ESG for processing. Mike/KE0ESG will submit logs to LCTOTA.org site.
All stations registered to activate for a club will use the club call sign W0ZRT and operate within the privileges of their personal license. Be sure to get the permission of the club license trustee to use the club call sign and have a copy of the license at your station.
•Activators for a club can call CQ from anywhere in the state their club is registered in. They can operate from home, from a clubhouse or from a park. Those operating from a park can also submit their log to POTA providing they follow all the POTA activation rules. (Logging for LCTOTA and POTA are similar).
•This is not a contest. It is ok to make contact with the same person more than once and on different modes, bands and days of the activation. The goal of this event is to have fun.

- Expedition Partner Certificate: Any station working all 16 states is eligible for the Expedition Partner Certificate. Example
- Trail Companion Certificate: Any station working 1-15 states is eligible for a Trail Companion Certificate. Example
