Parking: Southeast parking lot, excluding signed parking spots and parking spots adjacent to front entrance along the sidewalk. Mobility‐impaired parking available with proper permit/license.
Front entrance “Visitor Parking” may be used for unloading and loading only.
Access/Entry: The front door to the facility is the main entrance and exit. Other exits do not allow for re‐entry. To ensure facility security, do not prop open any doors.
All participants and instructors must sign in and out at the main entrance (excluding meal breaks), and the event
coordinator (or designee) is responsible for participant entry.
Do not use the lobby phone to request entry. Other visitors, vendors, contractors, deliveries (not associated with your event) will be screened by Emergency Management or CenCom employees.
Identification Badge: Badges must be worn at all times within the facility.
Liquids: Closed containers and/or capped bottles in all meeting rooms.
Smoking: Smoking is not allowed within 20 feet of facility entrances. A smoking receptacle is available in front of the main entrance of DCN.
Cleaning: Event coordinators are responsible for cleaning event spaces at the end of each day to include coffee pot (if used) and emptying garbage(s). Notify Emergency Management personnel if you need to vacuum. Tables, counters, and equipment (including whiteboards) must be cleaned/wiped down at the end of use. If the break room is utilized, clean up after each use (appliances, tables, chairs).
Supplies/Equipment: Classroom materials and supplies (computers, pens, paper, copies, coffee) are provided by the event coordinator.
If you need assistance with any facility equipment, notify an Emergency Management employee. If you are unable to find an employee, leave a note at the front desk with your name, number, and message.
Do not contact Central Dakota Communications (CenCom) employees for assistance.
Conversations: Normal business operations will continue in the facility. Keep phone calls and conversations within the rooms, and do not loiter in the hallways.
Items to Note:
Wi‐Fi is free and access information is posted in every room.
Emergency exit maps are posted in every room.
Do not sit on tables.
Large projector screens on the north wall of Emergency Operations Center (124) and Liaison Room (120) are NOT whiteboards—do not write on them.
Do not move the divider wall between rooms 119‐120. Notify an Emergency Management employee if it needs to be moved.
Floor input covers should be closed to protect the connections and prevent trips/falls.
Food and beverages are the responsibility of the user and need to be cleaned up at the end of each day.
Use of in‐house audio/video equipment will require minimal training which may be conducted during pre‐event setup or during the walk‐through. Contact Emergency Management personnel for assistance with audio/video equipment if needed.
